A bicycle ride through the rugged landscape of the Valle de la Lune in the Atacama in Northern Chile, the driest desert in the world. The cyclist enters a seemingly endless, yet immersive and intimate emptiness. Part of Phil Dadson’s Atacama trilogy.
Phil DADSON (1946, New Zealand) began his career as both visual artist and experimental musician (Scratch Orchestra and later From Scratch). He has worked in moving image since the early 1970s and taught Intermedia at the Elam School of Fine Arts until 2001, when he resigned in order to focus on his own work. He has an international practice and is this year undertaking a Headlands residency in the USA.
